Tommer's
oil paintings on canvas with their bold and often subtle palettes
radiating dynamic patterns are reminiscent of the early modern
abstract expressionists. His unique works portray a subtle strength
while still being complicated and layered. There is a definitive
statement as well as a colorful and dynamic surprise found in each
painting. Recently, the Multnomah Athletic Club purchased two of
Tommer's largest abstract paintings from his "Ethel" series 6' x
9's for their new dining room in the men's bar. |
Tamara is known for her acrylic paintings of women and children
that often reflect the vibrant colors of a Latin American
influence. She is inspired by the Mexican Muralists and Frida Kahlo,
and by mythology, culture, spirituality and religion. Her paintings
pay tribute to the beauty, mystery and strength of women and their
